Phosphorus rubrum , a homoeopathic medicine prepared from Red Phosphorus (an allotrope of phosphorus), is a lesser-known but important medicine with close relationship to Phosphorus . It retains strong affinity for blood, nerves, and mucous membranes. It is especially suited to conditions marked by haemorrhage, nervous irritability, and inflammatory states of the respiratory and digestive systems. It also influences bone metabolism and general weakness, resembling Phosphorus in many spheres but milder in intensity. Common Name English: Red Phosphorus SBL’s Phosphorus rubrum can be helpful in the following conditions: Haemorrhagic Tendency Predisposition to bleeding from nose, gums, lungs, or stomach. Bright red, profuse, and easily started haemorrhages. Helpful in bleeding diathesis with great weakness after loss of blood.
