Indications

Colchicinum is a powerful homoeopathic medicine derived from the alkaloid of Colchicum autumnale . It acts prominently on the gastrointestinal tract , nervous system , and vascular system , with marked effects on digestive irritation , exhaustion , diarrhoeic states , and febrile collapse . This medicine is particularly useful in conditions marked by frequent vomiting , prostration , intestinal catarrh , and sleep disturbances . Dilated pupils, tearing facial pains, and spasmodic symptoms also indicate its clinical value. Common Name:  Alkaloid of Colchicum autumnale SBL’s Colchicinum can be helpful in the following complaints: Digestive Upset and Vomiting Helps manage nausea on rising from bed at night , rapidly followed by vomiting of undigested food . Colchicinum aids in cases where vomiting progresses to bitter greenish fluid , continuing into the early morning. Supports in vomiting of blood , persisting for several days. Relieves pain and excessive tenderness in the epigastric region . Abdominal Distension and Rumbling Helps in abdominal bloating with marked sensitivity .
