Indications

Parotidinum is a homoeopathic medicine prepared from the mumps virus , primarily indicated in glandular infections and their complications. It is notably used both prophylactically and therapeutically for mumps , as well as related conditions such as orchitis , salivation , and meningitis resulting from viral inflammation. Its action centers on the parotid glands , salivary secretions , and brain —making it a useful medicine in conditions involving glandular swelling , suppuration , and post-viral inflammation . Common Name English : Mumps Nosode SBL’s Parotidinum can be helpful in the following conditions: Prophylaxis and Acute Mumps • Used prophylactically for individuals exposed to mumps , often administered in frequently. • In active cases of mumps , it may be given frequently, either alone or alternated with other indicated medicines. Glandular and Salivary Affections • Indicated in glandular swellings , particularly of the parotid glands . • Parotidinum helps in salivation and parotitis , especially with viral or infective origin. Neurological and Gonadal Complications • Helpful in meningitis or cerebral inflammation as a complication of mumps. • Indicated in orchitis (inflammation of the testicles), particularly when arising after or during mumps.

Avoid strong smells (onion, hing, mint, garlic) during use.
