Indications

TOPI AESCULUS CREAM INTRODUCTION Haemorrhoids or piles are vascular swelling of the tissues of anus and rectum. It is a problem very common in adults, both men and women. It is engorged, enlarged and inflammed blood vessels in or around the lower portion of the rectum and at anus. Internal haemorrhoids (piles) arise from congestion of plexus of superior haemorrhoidal veins, external haemorrhoids (piles) arise from the inferior haemorrhoidal veins. This may hang outside the anus. It may be of a size of a pea or large protrusions in chronic cases. Haemorrhoids (piles) often result from straining to have a bowel movement. Managing interventions involve high fibre diet, avoidance of straining, use of medication to relieve pain, lower the inflammation and strengthening the venous walls. Aesculus hippocastanum has long been used in homoeopathy for the treatment of bleeding and non-bleeding haemorrhoids . Topi Aesculus contains 10% of Aesculus hippocastanum MT. Indication : Supportive treatment of haemorrhoids (piles) Topi Aesculus alleviates the symptoms of haemorroids such as s harp and shooting pains in the rectum and back as well as s ore and aching lasting for hours after bowel movements. Topi Aesculus is suitable for both bleeding and non-bleeding haemorrhoids. Directions for use Dosage : Unless otherwise prescribed, Topi Aesculus should be applied as follows: The cream should be used 3 to 5 times daily by applying a thin layer to the properly clean anus. Use an applicator for inside. Contra-indications : The cream should not be used for patients with known hypersensitivity to Aesculus Hippocastanum . Side Effects: In rare cases, applying the cream might cause allergic skin reactions with redness, itching and blistering. If one of these symptoms occur, medical advice is recommended. Interactions : No interactions between Topi Aesculus and other products are known. Presentation : 25 g tubes.
