Mephitis , commonly known as  Skunk , is a powerful homoeopathic medicine derived from the secretion of the North American skunk. It is especially valued for its strong action on the  respiratory system , particularly in cases of  spasmodic cough ,  whooping-cough , and  asthmatic conditions . Mephitis is known for its ability to relieve violent, suffocative coughing fits that are worse at night and often accompanied by vomiting, breathlessness, and cyanosis (blueness of the face).
